GRETCH is a fashion brand created by me, Jo’Nique Mitchell. I’m a 28 year old Houston native, but my entire family is from New Orleans, Louisiana. My love for fashion design began when I was gifted my first sewing machine at the age of 13. I quickly started teaching myself everything there was to know about the construction of clothing. It was and still is my obsession. At 14 I became a self taught crochet artist and this just furthered my passion for fashion. Fast forward to today, GRETCH has become an entire lifestyle for me. As a sustainable slow fashion brand, I take pride in providing otherworldly garments to an exclusive community. Designing inclusive garments, introducing my world to others, and sharing the joy that creating brings me is truly a childhood dream come true.
